Sony FE 50mm f/1.8

This being the cheapest auto-focus full-frame lens available for this camera will tell you a lot. Its biggest weakness being the slow auto-focus (but as the Alpha 7 already has very slow auto-focus this doesn't sting as much), and the awful build quality (or rather how cheap it FEELS, even if I didn't have any factory defects or other problems with it). But for the price, (at least coming from vintage lenses, and their older coatings) the image quality it produces is surprisingly good, though it feels a bit cold, and uncharacteristic for my taste. As I am fine with using manual-focus lenses most of the time I don't mind not having more auto-focus lenses for this camera. But when I don't feel like fiddling with the focus ring trying to get the red focus aid to appear over the subject of my composition, I'll gladly put this cheap, but capable lens on my camera.
